Here is my story
  • I am a soccer player.
  • I strike with my right foot.
  • The pain started gradually in my right groin
  • After 6 weeks of nursing my injury it did not go away. I have even tried resting for 2 weeks
  • I can’t run properly or strike the ball presently – and I have started feeling a similar pain in my left groin.
Their assessment
  • My left iliac crest (pelvis) was much higher than my right side.
  • My upper back did not rotate at all to the left side – it was completely stuck
  • A spasm combined with very tight tissue structures was detected in my right upper leg.
  • My glutes on the left side did not fire properly
Their plan of
action for me
  • I had to use a foam roller to release the tight tissue in my right upper thigh combined with stretching the quad muscle.
  • I had to use a tennis ball to release the tight tissue on my left chest muscle and then stretch it out afterwards
  • These 2 releases helped align my pelvis
  • I was then given glute exercises to do – more on the left than the right side to stabilize my pelvis
  • My core was strong enough but they added endurance exercises.
  • After several sessions my pain disappeared and i have started sport specific drills and strength training again
